Day 166 – 2014-11-01, Saturday – Cedar Hill State Park, TX

Ok, spent last night at the house, keeping en eye on things, halloween and all. No problems, other than super heavy traffic when we went out to get dinner – almost didn’t make it back home! Streets in the neighborhood closed because some folks put up really cool displays, and the others can’t be bothered to walk past, they have to drive through. Really? Take some more candy, lardass!

Lunch was at the Holy Grail Pub, in far North Plano. Pretty good food, and ok Stouts.

Went to get the trailer – no keys for the locks on the keyring! Oh, joy. Back home we go, empty-hitched. At home – no keys. Get house keys out to lock the front door, on the way to Home Depot to get a battery for my grinder (to grind off the locks). What do I spy on my key ring? THE KEYS TO THE LOCKS!!!! I KNEW I’d put them somewhere safe!

Second trip went MUCH better, as we returned home with trailer in tow. Put it next to the house, on the street for now. Gotta clean out the side yard, where it shall soon reside.

Tomorrow, the trip officially ends, as we park the trailer in its slot. Sniffle, sniffle.

Day 165 – 2014-10-31, Friday – Cedar Hill State Park, TX

Ok. The Bear got another ride in, three 3-mile laps. I’m still in serious pain. Last couple of days it’s been my left leg. Back is pretty ok, for the most part … usually.

Another trip back home, where we’ll spend the night, first time in almost six months! Not bringing the pop-up for halloween, though. We’ll get that tomorrow. Why take a chance?

Day 159 – 2014-10-25, Saturday – Solavaca Ranch, TX

Gonna do a short tandem ride today. The trail is quite twisty, and it was a challenge. Unfortunately, almost ran into a bush, and in stopping, I re-injured my left wrist. Pretty badly. Hurts like hell now. No more bike for me for a while.

Met some really cool folks from New Zealand (they were our RV neighbors), and hope to stay in touch with them. Looks like fun times ahead!
